The soil microbiome of the laurel forest at Garajonay National Park (La Gomera, Canary Islands) in undisturbed habitats and after a wildfire

The soil microbiome associated with the laurel forest in Garajonay National Park (La Gomera, Canary Islands) is characterized for the first time. Two undisturbed forests growing at different topographic positions on the mountain were chosen for this study, the slope and the crest. Moreover, a third soil type was collected in a severely burnt area of the crest forest.
