Molecular Identification of Tetrahymena thermophila membranellar pattern genes mpD and mpH

mpD-1 and mpH-1 mutant lines presenting defects in oral apparatus formation were used to map the corresponding genes through an allelic contrast analysis. To this end, each mutant line was outcrossed and from the F2 generation two pools, one phenotypically Wt, the other mutant, were formed and subjected to sequencing and contrast analysis.
