Sea Depth in Mesh

This database contains a summary of statistical analyses of sea depth in a mesh (lat. 30" by lon. 45", nearly 1 Km square, so-called 3rd mesh). The file contains mean depth, shallowest depth, standard deviation, number of samples and 3rd mesh code in a record (50 bytes). The data used are from hydrographic survey data by Hydrographic Department, General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans (GEBCO) data and JODC Bathymetry Integrated Random Data Set (J-BIRD). The data volume is about 80 Mbytes. The area from 0 deg. N to 48 deg. N in latitude and from 120 deg. E to 180 deg. E in longitude is covered in the file.
