资源简介:
This dataset archives the data and analytical code for the research article "Influence of floodplain subsurface composition on peatland stream-channel mobility." by Nelson et al. (Submitted). The primary purpose of this collection is to ensure the reproducibility of the study's findings and contribute data to broader scientific pursuits in the field of geomorphology. The dataset focuses on Cedar Creek, Minnesota. The temporal scope spans from decadal channel migration analysis (1938–2022) to high-resolution hydrological monitoring of a specific flood events.
The dataset is organized into ten distinct analysis folders containing:
1) Field & Laboratory Data: Sedimentological from 17 sediment cores (stratigraphy, grain-size distributions) and recorded data of hydrologic conditions on Cedar Creek (velocity and depth).
2) Geospatial Datasets: Processed shapefiles for channel centerlines, watershed boundaries, and historical migration rate measurements derived from aerial imagery.
3) Computational Models: Python code and input data for numerical modeling of bank erosion rates, channel width statistics, and Rouse profile modeling of suspended sediment transport.
