海冰漂移是指浮冰受风和海流驱动运动，探测海冰漂移一般包括漂移速度和方向。海冰漂移产生的推力足以毁坏石油平台等海上建筑，产生的积压作用足以毁坏船只。因而对海冰漂移进行探测除了能够探秘全球气候中的动态变化外，也能够预防海冰积压毁坏船只、石油平台等事故的发生。 本项目利用最大互相关方法实现了基于SSM/I被动微波辐射计亮温数据的海冰漂移探测，生成了2016年10月-2018年4月北极间隔3天和间隔6天的
