This paper presents an analysis of the financial situation of one of the Polish companies. The audited company is a leading brand in the market of potato products, mainly French fries of all kinds. It is a large company, because it is the world's third largest company producing potato products, which has 40 sales offices and six manufacturing plants.To evaluate the financial health and the effectiveness of the entity the author presented and discussed 15 indicators that make up the PHI model developed by John Zietlow, which are divided into four levels: general, immediate, short-term and medium-term.In order to complement the analysis the author calculated also the ratio of liquidation risk and profitability. The analysis is a key step in the assessment of business operations. The present work in an orderly manner presents different stages of the company evaluation.
