资源简介:
This dataset presents stable oxygen and carbon isotope ratios measured on the benthic foraminifera Hoeglundina elegans and Cibicidoides wuellerstorfi and on the planktic foraminifera Globigerina bulloides at International Ocean Discovery Program Site U1542 (52°42.292ʹS, 75°35.769ʹW; 1,101 m water depth) during Marine Isotope Stage 12-10. Full replicates were conducted to determine the 1σ-uncertainty of the analyses. The results are expressed in delta-notation (δ18O and δ13C) with reference to the Vienna Pee Dee Belemnite (VPDB) standard. The H. elegans δ13C values were corrected and combined with the C. wuellerstorfi δ13C data to calculate the gradient between planktic and benthic foraminiferal δ13C. The samples were measured with a Thermo Fisher Scientific MAT 253 isotope ratio mass spectrometer coupled to a Kiel IV carbonate preparation device at the Leibniz Laboratory for Radiometric Dating and Stable Isotope Research at Kiel University (Kiel, Germany).
