Polymyxin B-Resistant Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae

Polymyxins are important last-line antibiotics for treatment of severe Klebsiella pneumoniae infection. In recent years, the isolation rate of multidrug-resistant hypervirulent K. pneumoniae (MDR-hvKP) has gradually increased, and the emergence of MDR-hvKP resistant to polymyxins is seriously threatening human health. Its epidemic transmission characteristics and mechanisms of resistance and virulence deserve attention.
