RNA-seq analysis of Thrips tabaci in Japan for identifying pyrethroid resistance related genes. Thrips tabaci

Thrips tabaci is one of the most serious insect pests in worldwide attacking wide range of crops. Resistance to pyrethroids of T. tabaci has been reported in many countries including Japan. In order to identify pyrethroid resistance related mutations in a voltage-gated sodium channel gene (a target gene of pyrethroids) and other resistance related candidate genes of T. tabaci in Japan, we performed RNA-seq analysis of pyrethroid resistant and suscptible strains of T. tabaci collected in Japan.
