Beach seine and baited camera data for Pacific cod sampled in the GOA for NPRB Project 1806

This dataset contains data and collection information from beach seine and baited underwater camera work in the Gulf of Alaska and collected as a part of the North Pacific Research Board's Core Project 1806. Beach seine data describes seine locations including tidal conditions and observed habitats, and individual seine event conditions and catches. Baited camera data includes tidal information at camera locations, event logs for camera deployments, vegetation classifications for camera deployment sites, and CTD results at deployment locations. These data were presented as two MS Access databases, one for each data type, and were converted into CSV files which were then compressed into .zip archives.

Data were collected in support of NPRB project 1806 to validate and enhance a biophyscial individual-based model of juvenile Pacific cod abundance in nearshore locations in the western, central and eastern Gulf of Alaska. Sampling was conducted in July 2021. Data contains catch data from beach seines and count data from baited cameras; depth, tide, substrate and vegetation
