Geographical and temporal impact on the molecular characteristics of Escherichia coli causing urinary tract infections in humans

In order to compare E. coli responsible for urinary tract infections across different European countries we collected randomly selected 10 isolates from hospitalised and 10 isolates from primary health care adult patients respectively each month during year 2019. Isolates were collected by the microbiological laboratory of the Bicêtre hospital, which is located in the south-east outskirt of Paris in France. All isolates were Illumina sequencing.
