Hypersoft X-ray Sources: A New Class of Luminous Cosmic Emitters

This dataset supports the manuscript titled "Hypersoft X-ray Sources: A New Class of Luminous Cosmic Emitters," submitted to a Journal on May 25, 2025. To reproduce the figures and access the source catalogs used in the study, download and extract all ZIP folders into a single directory along with the Jupyter Notebook "hypersoft_master.ipynb." Then, create a folder named "source_analysis" within the same directory and move all galaxy-specific folders (e.g., M31, NGC3379, etc.) into it. You will need the CIAO software package (Chandra Interactive Analysis of Observations) installed on your computer to properly run the notebook; we recommend launching the Jupyter Notebook directly from within a CIAO environment. Follow the embedded instructions in the notebook. The "plots" folder contains sample outputs for reference—these will be overwritten when you run the notebook.
