Environmental Drivers of Enterococci Bacteria Variability Across Water and Sediment Compartments in an Urban Coastal System

2018-2023 Newport News, VA Beach Sanitary Survey Data (4 files) & Field Data for 2023-2024 field work at Hilton Beach (2 file). Beach 'sanitary surveys' with record of enterococci, other water quality data, weather, and other data. These four beach files were the data used in Fig 1,2 and 3. Data was originally acquired from the Peninsula Department of Health, Newport News, VA, United States of America. Data has been cleaned to retain only weekly sanitary surveys, remove biologically implausible data, variables with mostly missing data and to standardize categorical variables used in our analysis. See Supplementary Table 1 for mean values and units if unclear. Field work and seasonal measures of enterococci (2 files) were used in Fig 4, 5, and 6.
