K–12 school acoustic design grey literature dataset

This study constructed a dataset derived from systematic mapping of grey literature related to acoustic design in K-12 schools, comprising 142 school building projects with documented acoustic design information from 22 countries. Data were primarily collected from project documents publicly released by architectural firms, acoustic consultants, and acoustic material suppliers. All projects contained identifiable acoustic design-related information and met the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Projects in the dataset were processed using standardized coding, including: basic project information (project ID, country, completion year, educational level, construction type, and source category), 19 space types, five major categories, and 23 subcategories: Interior Surface (IS), Room Acoustic Elements (RA), Spatial Planning (SP), Envelope/Partition (EN), and Systems & Equipment (SE). Quantitative acoustic performance metrics reported in the literature and their reporting status (design targets, simulation predictions, or post-completion measurements) were also included in the analysis. AACODS quality scores are also included in the dataset.
