Cerrado Brazilian savannah soil - conventional tillage Metagenome

The introduction of agriculture improved chemical properties, but decreased soil macroporosity, microbial biomass and enzyme. The impact of land conversion to agriculture on microbial diversity of the Cerrado under conventional tillage was investigated. The Cerrado is an edaphic type of savannah in Brazil considered as the second largest biome and the main grain producing area of the country.
