Profiling the venom gland transcriptome of Costa Rican snakes by 454 pyrosequencing.

We have generated thousands of reads by a 454 pyrosequencing process from eight venom gland transcriptomes of Costa Rican snakes. Our results provide a deep sight of the transcriptional activity of the venom glands of these medically relevant species in Central America.
