Data and Code for ‘Patterns and Drivers of Fish Trophic Trajectories over Time’

This dataset contains fish community composition, trophic structure metrics, and associated environmental variables collected from 15 gravel pit lakes in France sampled 5 times between 2012 and 2022. The data were used to evaluate temporal dynamics in fish trophic structure and identify ecological drivers of food web trajectories. Included files provide raw and aggregated species-level biomass data, stable isotope–based trophic indices, and community-level metrics such as CWTP and RDA outputs. All R code used for analysis and main figures is also included. The code is reusable for ecological studies focusing on food web dynamics and community trajectories in multiple ecosystems.This dataset and code are provided in support of the manuscript “Patterns and drivers of fish trophic trajectories over time”, accepted for publication in Ecology (manuscript ID: ECY25-0407.R1).
