资源简介:
Ticks are hematophagous ectoparasites inducing injuries to their hosts and more dangerously, transmitting many pathogens causing deadly diseases in humans and animals. During tick feeding process, host's defense mechanisms including hemostasis, inflammatory and immune responses are activated in order to eliminate the parasite. Yet, ticks secrete saliva into the host, containing a range of molecules such as anti-clotting, anti-platelet, vasodilatory and immunomodulatory among others. During the last three decades and given the valuable information provided by tick sialomes data analysis, many tick salivary gland transcriptome were performed. Sialotranscriptomic analysis was performed for a single species from the genus Hyalomma, namely H. rufipes using Expressed sequence tag sequencing. Thus, the aim of this study was to investigate the diversity of the sialome of another tick of this genus: H. dromedarii. We made a survey of the transcriptional profile of both gender of H. dromedarii in order to understand the diverse strategies of this bloodsucker during feeding, with identification of tick saliva proteins unique to each gender. As far as we know, this is the first de novo assembly of sialotranscriptome from a Hyalomma genera tick using NGS technology.
