Molecular mechanism of fish pigment formation.

Pigmentation is one of the most diverse characteristics in vertebrates. In the natural environment, the differences in the type and distribution of biological body color have an important effect on the adaptability and speciation of organisms. Due to the diversity of colors, there are significant differences in different species, populations, genders, and different body structures of individuals. Fish are highly selective and plastic in pigmentation, and this color polymorphism may be required for species evolution, so this research results also provide a reference for further research on the study area of pigmentation and regeneration.
