PES-project, Southern Norwegian Fjords

Occurrence data of living benthic foraminifera (>63µm) from southern Norwegian fjords, collected in 2008. The data are related to the PES research project undertaken by the Department of Geociences, University of Oslo. The project focused on the development of paleoecology-based tools for reconstructing soft-bottom ecologic status, including reference conditions in coastal waters. Samples were mainly taken with a gravity corer and data represent the occurrence of living benthic foraminifera in the upper sediment centimeters (0-2cm) of 3 replicates.
