Smart grid R&D projects approved under EMRA's revenue-embedded R&D mechanism, Türkiye 2014–2025: dataset and analysis code

Dataset and analysis code for the article "Regulated Revenue Frameworks for Smart Grid Innovation: Evidence from Türkiye's Electricity Distribution Sector". The dataset contains 688 R&D project records approved in the 23 application calls (2014–2025) of the R&D mechanism of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Türkiye (EMRA/EPDK), verified against the EMRA approval notices and classified into 13 smart grid categories (685 projects in the analysis sample: 594 electricity, 91 natural gas). It also includes the DSO–project participation table, a DSO–year panel for the 21 electricity distribution system operators (2014–2024) and the earthquake-exposure table. The script run_analysis.py reproduces all tables and figures of the article. All data are compiled from publicly available EMRA documents. See README.md for variables and instructions.
