Mesenchymal transition and acquired therapy resistance of glioblastoma cells is connected to astrocyte reactivity (Affymetrix HTA 2.0 data set)

We show that Glioma initiating cells (GICs) can, through MES transition, enter a reactive-astrocyte-like cell state which is connected to increased therapy resistance Affymetrix HTA 2.0 array analyses were performed according to the manufacturer's directions on total RNA extracted from primary human astrocytes from cerebral cortex (ScienCell, San Diego) cultured acording to providers instructions. 3 bilogical replicates of IL1 stimulated cells (12-13 days) and corresponding control cells were analyzed. Affymetrix HTA 2.0 array analyses were also performed on a clonal malignant glioma. 3 bilogical replicate time series of IL1 stimulation (1-42 days) and corresponding control cells were analyzed.
