This supplementary material supports the article titled “Financial distress prediction for municipalities in developing countries: A scoping review and bibliometric analysis.” It provides additional methodological and evidence-extraction details used in the review. Supplementary Table S1 presents the database-specific search strings and search details. Supplementary Figure S1 shows the Covidence study screening form, while Supplementary Figure S2 shows the Covidence data extraction form. Supplementary Table S2 provides the summary characteristics of the individual sources of evidence included in the review, including study aim, technique, dependent variables and independent variables. The material is provided to improve transparency, replicability and auditability of the scoping review and bibliometric analysis.
