Despite the proven benefits of physiotherapy, there is limited empirical research examining the determinants of its utilization, particularly within diverse cultural and socioeconomic contexts (Nascimento et al., 2012a). Identifying these factors can inform strategies that bridge the gap between evidence-based physiotherapy intervention and their integration into maternal healthcare systems.
