Brachypodium distachyon isolate:Bd21-3 Genome sequencing

Segregating mutants in an F2 mapping population were pooled and DNA extracted using a modified CTAB protocol (Lodhi et al. 1994) with the addition of RNAse and Proteinase K steps. DNA was sequenced at the University of Wisconsin Madison Biotechnology sequencing facility using an Illumina HiSequation 2500. The sequencing facility generated the sequencing library following established Illumina protocols. Reads were mapped against the Bd21-3 sequence available at brachypodium.org (Gordon et al. 2014).
