Data supporting the article "A Paradigm Shift to Assembly-like Finite Element Model Updating" (Aerotecnica Missili & Spazio, 2026, DOI: 10.1007/s42496-026-00313-8). The repository contains MATLAB scripts and ANSYS Mechanical APDL input files for assembly-like finite element model updating of the XB-2 high aspect ratio flexible wing. The updating procedure uses the refined Efficient Global Optimisation (rEGO) algorithm to minimise the Modified Total Modal Assurance Criterion. Both bottom-up (assembly-like) and top-down (classical) approaches are implemented. The repository includes template-based ANSYS APDL models, result files with converged parameters, and a setup script that fetches external dependencies automatically.
