Ropes Creek Green - Corridor Care

This project will reduce the impact and spread of weeds (including WoNS) along a section of Ropes Creek, Oxley Park, NSW, and will improve ecological function through targeted planting and revegetation. The project will include: site assessments; initial and follow up weeding using volunteers and professional bush-regenerators; a variety of planting days with community involvement, including students and work for the dole participants, with Indigenous staff to disseminate Indigenous knowledge and values of native plants; formal and informal training sessions by qualified trainers, including on plant propagation techniques, to develop volunteer skills and increase community awareness.
