Functional traits and species occurrence modelling across Macaronesian archipelagos
收藏资源简介:
This dataset accompanies the manuscript "The Role of Functional Traits in Structuring Fish Assemblages Across the Macaronesian Archipelagos". It provides all necessary data and scripts to reproduce the analyses presented in the study, which investigated how functional traits shape the taxonomic and functional diversity of coastal fish species across four Atlantic archipelagos: Azores, Madeira, Canary Islands, and Cabo Verde. The dataset includes: Species occurrence data (occ_traits.xlsx): presence and functional attributes of fish species at each site. Functional traits matrix (traits.xlsx): traits used for statistical modelling. Site-level abundance data (sites.xlsx): species-by-site matrix for diversity analysis. Trait matrix for functional diversity (traits_fd.xlsx) and site matrix (sites_fd.xlsx): input for computing FRic, FEve, FDiv, FDis, RaoQ indices. R script (macaronesia_fish_diversity_pipeline.R): complete code for data loading, GLM fitting, functional diversity analysis, and visualisation (e.g. chord and UpSet plots). README file (README_updated.md): instructions for running the pipeline. All scripts were written in R (version ≥ 4.2) and rely on open-source packages. This resource enables full reproducibility of the modelling workflow, figures, and tables, and supports further applications in marine functional biogeography and conservation planning.
