According to a survey on subscription video on demand (SvoD) conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2024, approximately 56 percent of Indonesian respondents stated that they subscribed to an SvoD provider because it offered a larger variety of content than cable and satellite TV. The same survey found that around 54 percent of respondents in Indonesia subscribed to SvoD services.
