Sifaka Lemur reference genome and diversity panel

A high quality draft assembly of the reference genome will be produced from a single sample of Propithecus coquereli, using read data generated using the Illumina platform. In addition to the deep genome sequence coverage of the reference sifaka, BCM-HGSC is generating whole genome sequences from additional sifaka individuals in order to identify DNA sequence variation for this species.
