Ceftazidime-Avibactam Resistance Development following Ceftazidime-Avibactam-based therapy in critically-ill patients with infections caused by KPC-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae

Ceftazidime-avibactam-based treatments have been associated to emergence of resistance in KPC-producing K. pneumoniae (KPC-Kp) isolates. In this study, we evaluated the development of CAZ-AVI resistance in KPC-Kp strains isolated from rectal swabs and clinical specimens collected from patients treated with CAZ-AVI-based therapy.
