The dataset holds information on the stations sampled during the BIOICE (Benthic Invertebrates of Icelandic Waters) project. The sampling occurred from 1991 to 2004. Samples were taken on the Norwegian RV Håkon Mosby, the Icelandic RV Bjarni Sæmundsson and the Faeroese RV Magnus Heinason. The samples were mainly taken with a RP sled, a detritus sled, a triangular dredge, an Agassiz trawl and a Shipek grab, and in few cases Smögen grab, Van Veen grab, a gravity corer and a remotely operated camera were used. The samples taken at these stations were analysed for the presence and abundance of isopods, cumaceans and amphipods for which the data can be found in other datasets linked to this dataset record
