Global Database of Major Emerging Infectious Diseases was developed to meet the application needs of scientific research and emergency response for emerging infectious disease prevention and control, aiming to support dynamic surveillance, situation assessment and strategic decision-making for global epidemics. The database aggregates multi-source data from authoritative international platforms including the World Health Organization (WHO), European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), PubMed, ProMED, ReliefWeb, EIOS and others. After automated collection, standardization processing and structured integration, the data is uniformly stored in a MySQL database. Its main contents cover COVID-19 case and fatality data, variant strain information, international flight and population mobility data, national geographic information, vaccination data, scientific research literature related to infectious diseases, and public opinion information on global public health emergencies, comprehensively reflecting the epidemic trends and transmission characteristics of major global emerging infectious diseases. Currently, the database contains approximately 100 million records with a total data volume of about 150 GB, featuring multiple data types, high timeliness and high degree of structurization, providing a solid data foundation and supporting capabilities for infectious disease research, epidemic early warning modeling and public health governance.
