资源简介:
The genomic sequences found in this project were generated to study the evolution of clinical enterobacteria bearing the carbapenem resistance plasmid pOXA-48 in multiple assays. The samples analyzed during this study were recovered from hospitalized patients in the Ramon y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid, during the R-GNOSIS project. We performed an experimental evolution (EE), as well as the study of within-patient adaptation of clinical enterobacteria, to show the potential role of plasmid-encoded insertion sequences in promoting bacterial evolution. The samples contain sequences of E. coli, K. pneumoniae and C. freundii genomes.Specifically, the project includes the whole genome sequencing of: i) original strains recovered (reference ancestral strains of the EE); ii) evolved populations and clones of the EE; iii) samples sequenced after a fluctuation assay testing the IS transposition rate; iv) reference strains of the within-patient analysis.
