T Virtual Temperature Buffering and Mean Kinetic Temperature Data for Quantifying Limitations of Fixed Physical Temperature Buffers Description:This dataset supports the manuscript Quantifying the Limitations of Fixed Physical Temperature Buffers: A Mean Kinetic Temperature Approach for Assessing Thermal Risk in Diverse Storage Volumes. It includes synthetic raw air temperature data collected over a 24-hour period with five-minute sampling intervals, simulating operational conditions in temperature-controlled storage environments. Simulations incorporate events such as door openings and compressor failures. The data were processed using proprietary Virtual Temperature Buffering (VTB™) algorithms to generate virtual buffered temperature profiles representing product volumes ranging from 1 mL to 600 mL. Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT) values were calculated for each virtual buffer scenario to assess thermal risk under identical environmental conditions. Contents include: Raw temperature time series (5-minute interval) Virtual buffered temperature profiles for various product volumes Calculated MKT values for all virtual buffers Supporting metadata and documentation This dataset demonstrates how fixed physical buffers may inadequately reflect thermal stress across diverse product volumes and highlights the benefits of VTB for regulatory compliance and risk-based monitoring in pharmaceutical storage environments.
