Different methods were used to reveal the presence of SARS-CoV-2 genomes in 72 organs from 15 individuals with postmortem COVID 19 diagnosis but no previous records of neither severe COVID 19 nor immunocompromise. Nineteen selected heart, intestine, kidney, liver and lung samples were submitted to metagenomic analysis by tiled PCR followed by paired-end highly parallelized sequencing, in order to survey SARS-CoV-2 intra-host variation.
