CM1 Downslope Simulations - Vermont Green Mountain Downslope Windstorm Research
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the idealized Cloud Model 1 (CM1) configuration files, log files, and select imagery and time series analysis used to investigate downslope windstorms along the western slopes of Vermont's Green Mountains, supporting the manuscript "Green Mountain Downslope Windstorms" submitted to the American Meteorological Society (AMS) journal Weather and Forecasting. * namelist.input: The primary configuration file for the two-dimensional Cloud Model 1 (CM1r21) simulations, specifying the domain setup, boundary conditions, and physical parameterizations used across the sensitivity matrix. Each subfolder has a specific namelist.input file used for that particular simulation. * input_sounding: The initialized base-state sounding used across the CM1 domain for each run. Each subfolder has a input sounding file specifying what was used for that particular simulation. * cm1.print.out: The standard text log file generated during the CM1 simulation. It contains model initialization details, runtime physics configurations, timestep stability metrics (e.g., Courant number, maximum vertical velocity), and integration completion statistics. Each subfolder has a unique cm1.print.out file for that particular simulation. For comprehensive documentation regarding the CM1 governing equations, architecture, and a detailed glossary of all namelist.input parameters used in these simulations, please refer to the official CM1 User's Guide available via the NCAR MMM Laboratory at: https://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/people/bryan/cm1/.
