Images and Text from a Historic Building Survey of the Old Barn Inn, Glooston, Leicestershire, May 2024

This collection consists of images and text from a historic building photographic survey carried out by Past to Present Archaeology Ltd, of the Old Barn In, Glooston, Leicestershire, in May 2024. The building is in need of repair, particularly to the roof and chimney structures to prevent further leaking. The two-storey building has historical value in terms of it's use as a public house for at least 134 years, its central location suggests that the former inn was an important communal area to the village. The proposed plans for a dwelling will ensure that the building remains in use with the historic timber beams and fireplace being retained.
