Benefits of Nostoc microbiome on the host cyanobacterium

The aim of this study was to understand how heterotrophic bacteria from newly isolated cyanobacteria Nostoc sp. kvj2 and kvj3 affect the axenic Nostoc punctiforme PCC73102 model strain. Data fills a knowledge gap that we have regarding the benefits of heterotrophic bacteria for cyanobacteria.
