LINGUOPOETIC FEATURES OF THE HOMONYM "SPRING" IN ENGLISH FICTION AND ITS TRANSLATION BASED ON THE CAT (CONTEXTUAL-ASSOCIATIVE TRANSLATION METHOD)

This article examines the linguopoetic features of the homonym spring in English fiction and analyzes its translation possibilities using the CAT (contextual-associative translation) method. The research is based on examples from the works of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, and William Wordsworth. Contextual-semantic analysis, linguopoetic analysis, and comparative methods were applied in the study. The results show that the homonym spring performs several stylistic functions in literary discourse, including the representation of movement, renewal, and emergence. The study also demonstrates that the CAT (contextual-associative translation) method enables translators to identify the dominant contextual meaning of homonymous words and preserve the artistic imagery of the original text.
