Bayâḍ (بياض).

A similar album of Persian lyrics, arranged in forty chapters according to the topics of which they treat, by an anonymous compiler.

Beginning of the preface, in prose, on fol. 1b:

سپاس فراوان و ستايش بى پايان مر حضرت ذو الجلال را كه نگارندۀ لوح الخ.

Index of the forty chapters, on ff. 3b-4b.

Beginning of the first poem of the first chapter (فى التّوحيد): اى بصفّ صنع تو پايان شده چرخ برين الخ.

The second chapter, on fol. 9a, is headed: فى مدح النّبى ; the third, on fol. 12a, فى احاديث النّبوى ; the fourth, on fol. 13a, فى المواعظ و النّصائح , and so on.

The collection ends on fol. 91b. Ff. 92-108 are filled with vey roughly written extracts, both in prose and verse, by different hands.
