The collection of arachnids and myriapods of the MNRJ is the most important in Latin America, housing about 2,000 type specimens. The collection of Opiliones is the second most important in the world, with around 40,000 registered specimens.
MNRJ所收藏的节肢动物和倍足动物种类，堪称拉丁美洲之最，馆藏约两千件典型标本。其中，蜱螨目收藏位居世界第二，登记注册的标本数量约为四万件。
