RNA seq of aortic tissues of smooth muscle-specific Tead1 KO mouse

Aortic tissues were isolated from oil- (control) or tamoxifen-treated 10-week old smooth muscle (SM) MHC-Cre mediated TEAD1 flox/flox male mice. Total RNA was then extracted from the aortic tissues using TRIzol reagent (Thermo Fisher Scientific) and subjected to whole transcriptome RNA-seq analysis. Differential gene expression analysis was performed at the Genome Technology Access Center at Washington University. Following amplification of the input RNA by Sigma SeqPlex RNA amplification kit, the library was prepared and single-end sequencing in 50-bp length was performed on a HiSeq 3000 system (Illumina).
