Gesäuse National Park — Landscape of Extremes

The Gesäuse National Park is characterised by its geological and geomorphological structure. Especially the extreme relief energy is significant. The Gesäuse National Park therefore offers itself as an investigation area for extreme events in the areas of wild stream and river, but also storms and avalanches. It is characterised by the frequent occurrence of highly dynamic, natural processes. This results in a high biodiversity and preserving it is one of the most urgent tasks of the National Park Administration. At the same time, the protection of the infrastructure must of course continue to be granted. This tension between the free dynamics of nature and the optimal protection of people and infrastructure makes up the peculiarity of natural space management in the Gesäuse National Park.格绍国家公园（Gesäuse National Park）以其地质与地貌构造为核心特征，其中极端地形起伏能量尤为显著。正因如此，该公园可作为野溪、河流乃至风暴与雪崩等极端事件的研究区域。公园内频繁发生高度动态的自然过程，这造就了极高的生物多样性，而保护该生物多样性乃是国家公园管理局最为紧迫的任务之一。与此同时，基础设施的保护工作自然也需持续得到保障。自然的自由动态与人类及基础设施的最优保护之间的这种张力，构成了格绍国家公园自然空间管理的独特特质。
