This 30-meter resolution digital elevation model (DEM) dataset of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is generated based on the NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) V4.1 data via mosaicking and post-processing. Employing the WGS84 ellipsoidal projection and stored in tiled GeoTIFF format, the dataset covers the entire Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, serving as a critical foundational resource for topographic research and eco-environmental analysis. The original SRTM data was collected by the SRTM project, a collaborative effort between NASA and multiple international institutions using radar mounted on a space shuttle to conduct topographic mapping. This dataset is derived from the SRTM V4.1 data, and processed through steps including data mosaicking and gap-filling (adopting inverse distance weighting interpolation and Kriging interpolation) to ensure data integrity and accuracy. The metadata thoroughly documents the data processing procedures and parameter settings, facilitating user traceability and validation.
