Integral mission and competency-based theological education

This dataset was collected as part of a research study titled "Transformational theological praxis: competencies for effective integral mission in South Sudan." It was collected using exploratory sequential mixed methods research design. The design consisted of two phases. Phase 1 was personal interviews with pastors and church leaders engaged in integral mission within the South Sudan context. The interviews were recorded and transcribed, and the transcripts constitute the dataset for phase 1. The interviewees identified 115 competencies as necessary for effective integral mission in South Sudan. Phase 2 was a modified e-Delphi study where experts and practitioners of integral mission reviewed the competencies identified and ranked the competencies in two iterations to achieve an acceptable level of consensus on the competencies needed for effective integral mission in the South Sudan context. The data collected during the three rounds constitute the dataset for phase 2.
