资源简介:
These data are a part of the INGV’s long-term surveillance efforts on the Island of Vulcano (Aeolian Archipelago, Italy), begun in 1984. The dataset consists in the temperatures of fumaroles (HTF), recorded by a remotely controlled monitoring network. The sensors are located in the summit area of La Fossa cone. The monitoring sites are four fumarole vents, the measure by contact sensing in the fumarole vent occurs at depth of -0.5m, the sampling interval is 1 hour. These HTF temperatures have played a pivotal role in detecting the past and present volcanic unrest, underlining the network’s sensitivity and effectiveness. Long-term monitoring displayed its ability in identifying transient processes, on the base of multi-disciplinary comparisons. The same monitoring activity is still going on, and we can program different logging intervals, on demand.
