Metagenomic sequencing of environmental samples from foraging grounds and habitats of urban bats

Vespertilio sinensis can mediate the spread of ARGs and VFGs in their foraging and habitat areas through trophic transfer and defecation behavior. We collected water, soil, insects from the foraging area, as well as bat feces, soil, and air samples near the roost, and performed metagenomic sequencing to characterize the microbiome, resistome, and virulome.
