This dataset was recorded on a desktop setup using a plastic phantom model simulating the human digestive tract. Both the endoscope and the plastic phantom were moved to avoid static backgrounds. Owing to measurement uncertainties, the true joint configuration remains unknown. The task of this dataset is 3D pose estimation of surgical instruments.
