Greater Portland Active Transportation Network

In March 2017, PACTS kicked off creation of a regional Active Transportation Plan to increase walking, bicycling, wheeling, and use of public transportation in the PACTS 18-town region. This is both as an update to the 2009 PACTS Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and an expanded plan that includes health and equity outcomes. The updated plan will gives the region focus on where to invest over the coming 5-10 years and how to build on the 2009 Plan’s successes. The plan was completed in April 2018.
